Ingredients
  

Pasta and Shrimp
  • 12 oz tortellini fresh or frozen
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
Garlic Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
Garnish
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Cook Tortellini
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Garlic Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  3. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to taste. Mix well.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked shrimp to the garlic sauce and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  2. Toss the cooked tortellini in the skillet with the sauce and shrimp until well coated.
  3. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
