Ingredients
  

Blondie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Salted Caramel Topping
  • 1 cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for sprinkling
Pretzel Topping
  • 1 cup pretzel pieces roughly chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Blondie Batter
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Bake the Blondies
  1. Pour half of the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  2. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter and sprinkle with half of the pretzel pieces.
  3. Spread the remaining blondie batter on top, followed by the rest of the caramel sauce and pretzel pieces.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Finish and Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle the top with sea salt while still warm.
  3. Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
