Ingredients
  

Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate Base
  • 2 cups milk whole or any preferred milk
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree canned or homemade
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sugar adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream for topping
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, white chocolate chips, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, and salt.
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth and the chocolate is melted.
  3. Do not let it boil; just heat until hot.
Serve
  1. Once heated, remove from heat and pour into mugs.
  2. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes
