Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts boneless and skinless
Marinade
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup bourbon any good quality bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
Topping
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine maple syrup, bourbon, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. Whisk until well combined.
Marinate the Chicken
  1. Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
  2. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken breasts.
  2. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice glaze.
Add Pecans
  1. In the last few minutes of cooking, sprinkle chopped pecans over the chicken and allow them to toast slightly.
Serve
  1. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
