Prepare the Marinade
- In a mixing bowl, combine maple syrup, bourbon, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Whisk until well combined.
Marinate the Chicken
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the Chicken
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken breasts.
- Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice glaze.
Add Pecans
- In the last few minutes of cooking, sprinkle chopped pecans over the chicken and allow them to toast slightly.
Serve
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
