Ingredients
  

Mashed Potato Mixture
  • 2 cups leftover mashed potatoes preferably cold
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or your choice
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For Coating
  • 1 cup bread crumbs for coating
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Prepare the Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the leftover mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, beaten egg, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to make it easier to handle.
Form the Puffs
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using your hands, form the chilled mixture into small balls or puffs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Roll each puff in the bread crumbs mixed with parmesan cheese until fully coated.
Bake the Puffs
  1. Place the coated puffs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
