Healthy Crockpot Chicken Tacos

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup salsa red or green; preferably red
  • 2 limes juice optional
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth low or no salt or water

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot and cover with chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Pour salsa over the chicken and add lime juice if desired.
  2. Add chicken broth to the crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  3. Remove chicken from the crockpot and shred using two forks. Return shredded chicken to the crockpot to soak up juices.
  4. Serve the shredded chicken on warm tortillas and top with fresh ingredients.
