Prepare the Garlic Butter
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in the miso paste until well combined, then remove from heat and set aside.
Cook the Mushrooms
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the sliced mushrooms.
- Sauté the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.
- Add the garlic butter mixture to the mushrooms and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Season and Serve
- Drizzle with soy sauce if using, and sprinkle with black pepper, sesame seeds, and green onions before serving.
- Serve warm as a side dish or over rice for a complete meal.
