Ingredients
  

Mushrooms
  • 500 grams button mushrooms cleaned and sliced
Garlic Butter Mixture
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 stalks green onions sliced for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Garlic Butter
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Stir in the miso paste until well combined, then remove from heat and set aside.
Cook the Mushrooms
  1. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the sliced mushrooms.
  2. Sauté the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.
  3. Add the garlic butter mixture to the mushrooms and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Season and Serve
  1. Drizzle with soy sauce if using, and sprinkle with black pepper, sesame seeds, and green onions before serving.
  2. Serve warm as a side dish or over rice for a complete meal.

Notes
