Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dried figs chopped
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream whipped

Method
 

Prepare the Crust
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, softened butter, sugar, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
Make the Filling
  1. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Fold in the chopped figs and whipped cream until well combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the baked crust.
  2. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove and let cool completely.
Serve
  1. Cut into bars and serve chilled or at room temperature.
