Method
Prepare the Beef
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef chunks on all sides, then transfer to the Crock Pot.
- In the Crock Pot, add beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.
Cook the Beef
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and shreds easily.
Assemble the Sandwiches
- Once the beef is done, shred it using two forks and mix it back into the juices.
- Toast the sub rolls and layer with shredded beef and provolone cheese.
- Serve with a side of au jus for dipping.
