Prepare the Mashed Potato Mixture
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, beaten egg, green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to firm up.
Form the Puffs
- Once chilled, scoop out portions of the potato mixture and form them into small balls or puffs.
- Roll each puff in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and finally coat with bread crumbs mixed with paprika.
Fry the Puffs
- In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Fry the potato puffs in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve
- Serve the crispy mashed potato cheese puffs warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
