Prepare the Patties
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Grill the Burgers
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties, add a slice of cheese on top, and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Assemble the Burgers
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute.
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, then add the lettuce, patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and any additional condiments.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
