Ingredients
  

Mushrooms
  • 12 pieces large white mushrooms stems removed
Crab Filling
  • 8 ounces cooked crab meat lump or claw meat
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
Topping
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs for topping
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

Method
 

Prepare the Mushrooms
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems.
Make the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, green onions, garlic, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Stuff the Mushrooms
  1. Spoon the crab mixture into each mushroom cap, pressing down slightly to pack the filling.
Add Topping and Bake
  1. In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs with melted butter.
  2. Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the stuffed mushrooms.
  3. Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  2. Enjoy your crab stuffed mushrooms warm!
