Ingredients
  

Tomato Base
  • 15 oz canned tomato sauce preferably no salt added
  • 6 oz canned tomato paste
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper freshly ground
Liquid Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 cup water adjust for thickness

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine the canned tomato sauce and tomato paste over medium heat.
  2. Add the sugar, oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Add olive oil, white vinegar, and water to the mixture, stirring until smooth.
  5. Bring the sauce to a simmer and reduce heat to low.
  6. Let the sauce cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool before using on pizza.
