  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk warm
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 large egg
Filling
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground coffee preferably espresso
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, and sugar. Stir in the yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add the egg, salt, and flour gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Make the Filling

Assemble the Rolls
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread the filling evenly over the dough, then roll it up tightly from the long side.
  4. Cut the roll into 8 equal pieces and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  2. While baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Once baked, drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls before serving.
