Method
Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Cook the Gnocchi
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the top.
- Drain the gnocchi and set aside.
Assemble the Bake
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked gnocchi and Bolognese sauce. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
