Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugars
  1. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla
  1. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in Chocolate Chips
  1. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Scoop and Bake
  1. Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Cool and Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
