Ingredients
  

Salmon
  • 4 fillets salmon fillets skinless
Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon water for cornstarch mixture
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted

Method
 

Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. If using cornstarch, mix it with water in a small bowl until smooth, then add to the sauce mixture.
Marinate the Salmon
  1. Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour the teriyaki sauce over them, ensuring they are well coated.
  2. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
Bake the Salmon
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake the marinated salmon for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Serve
  1. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
  2. Serve hot with steamed rice or vegetables.

Notes
