Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz tortellini fresh or frozen
Sauce
  • 6 slices bacon chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Cook the Tortellini
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Drain the tortellini in a colander and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Reduce heat to low, then stir in the cream cheese and heavy cream until smooth.
  4. Add the grated parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the drained tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  2. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use reduced-fat cream cheese and half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
