Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 10 ounces marshmallows mini or regular
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Apple Pie Filling
  • 1 cup apple pie filling store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional
Topping
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted marshmallow mixture with the Rice Krispies. Stir until well coated.
Add Apple Pie Filling
  1. Fold in the apple pie filling, cinnamon, and walnuts (if using) into the Rice Krispie mixture until evenly distributed.
  2. Press the mixture into a greased 9x9 inch baking dish evenly.
Chill and Serve
  1. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then refrigerate for 15 minutes to set.
  2. Cut into squares, drizzle with caramel sauce, and serve with whipped cream.
