  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 (9-inch) store-bought pumpkin pie (premade/storebought)
  • 12 ounces unsalted butter (softened, 3 sticks)
  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 34 tablespoons heavy whipping cream (cold)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Beat together cream cheese, sugar, flour, vanilla, cinnamon, and heavy cream until smooth for the cheesecake layer. Pour into a greased springform pan and bake for 45 minutes.
  2. For the spice cake layer, mix flour, baking powder, spices, butter, brown sugar, oil, egg, and milk until combined. Bake half the batter in a greased pan; place the cooled cheesecake layer on top and cover with remaining batter. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  3. Allow to cool completely before assembling over a store-bought pumpkin pie.
  4. Whip together softened butter and powdered sugar for frosting; spread over the assembled piecaken.
