  • 1 cup lukewarm whole milk

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm and combine with yeast and sugar; let sit for five minutes until foamy.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter; mix until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about five minutes until smooth; let rise in a greased bowl for an hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough, spread with butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, then layer sliced strawberries.
  5. Roll tightly into a log and slice into two-inch pieces; place on greased baking sheets to rise again while preheating oven to 350°F.
