  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Layer the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, overlapping them slightly.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; warm without boiling.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in most of the grated cheddar until melted.
  5. Pour the cheese sauce over the potatoes and top with panko breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter and reserved cheese.
