  • 10 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup dry white apple vinegar, optional
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1/2 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, optional
  • 2 large eggs, divided
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft.
  3. Add garlic and mushrooms; cook until browned and moisture evaporates.
  4. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir in cream cheese, Parmesan, and Gruyère until creamy.
  5. Mix one egg into the filling. Roll out puff pastry; cut diagonal strips along the edges.
  6. Place filling in the center; braid pastry strips over the filling.
  7. Brush with remaining egg wash; bake for 20-22 minutes until golden.
