  • 3 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for salted caramel sauce)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter (for salted caramel sauce)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for salted caramel sauce)
  • 1 tsp sea salt (for salted caramel sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press into a springform pan and bake for 10 minutes. Cool.
  2. Mix sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Spread over cooled crust.
  3. Beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and sour cream. Pour over apple layer.
  4. Bake for 60-70 minutes until just set in the center. Cool completely on a wire rack before refrigerating for at least four hours.
  5. For salted caramel sauce: Melt sugar over medium heat until amber-colored; stir in butter and heavy cream while mixing continuously. Add sea salt.
  6. Drizzle salted caramel over chilled cheesecake before serving.
