  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin pie puree
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk (any type will do)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted for topping
  • 1 cup sugar for topping
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, and pumpkin spice.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin pie puree with melted butter and milk.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill each donut cavity halfway with batter.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes until donuts spring back when touched.
  7. Let cool slightly before brushing with melted butter and rolling in cinnamon sugar.
