  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the vanilla cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan.
  4. In another bowl, blend the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the first layer of batter.
  6. Spoon the remaining batter over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Whisk together cocoa powder and milk; drizzle over the top layer of batter.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
