  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans (toasted)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Toast pecans on a baking sheet for 5–7 minutes until fragrant. Let cool.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the cooled toasted pecans.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze: Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in milk until smooth. Whisk in powdered sugar until lump-free.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over cooled cookies and let set.
