  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 slices of crusty bread (like ciabatta or sourdough)
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/4 cup additional grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: sliced tomatoes
  • Optional: crispy Turkey Bacon

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least an hour (or overnight).
  2. Mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Dredge marinated chicken in seasoned flour and fry for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Prepare dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and grated Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Toast slices of bread until golden.
  6. Assemble sandwiches by spreading dressing on toasted bread followed by romaine lettuce and crispy chicken. Top with more grated Parmesan and another slice of bread.
