  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken slices with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken until golden brown (4-5 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  2. Cook linguine in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley; simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked linguine to the sauce, tossing to coat. Gradually add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency. Slice cooked chicken and mix back into the dish.
  5. Serve warm with fresh parsley and enjoy!
