  • 1/4 cup dark cocoa powder

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 pan with foil and nonstick spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter with cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Beat in sugar, eggs, espresso powder, and vanilla until fluffy.
  4. In another bowl, combine salt, baking powder, and flour; mix into wet ingredients gently.
  5. Spread batter into the pan and bake for 25-28 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. For frosting, dissolve coffee granules in heavy cream; beat softened butter and salt until creamy, then add powdered sugar and coffee mixture.
  7. Frost cooled brownies with the coffee frosting and top with melted dark chocolate mixed with cream.
  8. Slice into squares and enjoy!
