  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a separate bowl.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and sour cream to the butter mixture until just combined.
  6. Prepare the cinnamon swirl by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon; drizzle in melted butter.
  7. Spoon batter into liners, add cinnamon swirl mixture on top, and gently swirl together.
  8. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before glazing.
