  • 4 medium apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (plus 1 teaspoon)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 package refrigerated cinnamon rolls with frosting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and chopping them. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add apples, sugar, cinnamon, and water. Cook until tender.
  2. Thicken the filling by mixing cornstarch with water; stir into the apple mixture until it simmers and thickens.
  3. Assemble the pie by rolling out half of the cinnamon rolls in a pie dish as a crust. Add in the apple filling and top with remaining cinnamon rolls.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
