Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak tips (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Fontina cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Sear steak until browned on all sides; set aside.
  2. In a large pot, boil salted water and cook rigatoni until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve half a cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted, adding mozzarella or Fontina if using. Season with salt, pepper, and more Cajun seasoning if desired.
  5. Toss rigatoni with the sauce and reserved pasta water as needed for consistency. Fold in the seared steak tips.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and cracked black pepper.
