  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cake flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Cream together room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy.
  2. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and kosher salt; gradually add to the wet mixture.
  4. Chill the dough for one hour.
  5. For the filling, mix softened butter, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and cake flour until smooth.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Shape chilled dough into balls, fill with cinnamon mixture, and seal.
