  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices crispy Turkey Bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into approximately 16-20 meatballs (about 1.5 inches each).
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour the BBQ sauce over the meatballs and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Slice sub rolls lengthwise and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the subs by placing meatballs inside toasted rolls and adding shredded cheese and crispy turkey bacon on top.
  8. Return assembled subs to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Serve immediately with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
