Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon; cook for about 4-5 minutes until softened. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, stir into the apple mixture, and cook for an additional minute until thickened. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Separate biscuit dough into individual pieces; flatten each to about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Place approximately one tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each dough piece. Fold edges over filling and pinch tightly to seal.
  5. Dip each bomb into melted butter, then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon until fully coated.
  6. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet seam-side down. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
